Wind and Dust, they play
Chasing each other through the roads and lively lanes, peek-a-boo!
They hide behind the clothes behind the market stalls
Touching people faces and walls
Scent of laurel oil
Inebriates the air with spicy and fresh flavor, vanishing
The ancient citadel enchanting heritage
Here’s Aleppo oh what a dream!
Bombs are dropped
On civilian targets
Chemical weapons
Of mass destruction
Hit victims of resistance
With toxic gas
Subtle Sarin gas
Poisoned children
War shouldn’t be men’s work!
No, it shouldn’t!
Raindrops join the scene
All washing heavy blood away from eyes and beams, where are dreams?
They've crossed the border lines or flown over the clouds
Some of them are waiting for birth
Dust and Wind still play
Chasing each other through the silent empty ways, free and gay
Nobody’s on the streets the sky’s a lonely sun
Were the people blown by the wind?
